Bio: Ned Foster

2008 marked Ned's 40th anniversary in radio broadcasting. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, his career began at 19 when he answered an ad in the Boston Globe that read, "theatrical-type person wanted to be radio announcer." (His only "theatrical" experience had been the lead in his high school senior class play.) He was hired on the spot by WBOS-FM and WUNR-AM, where he played elevator music on WBOS and was an English language announcer for a number of foreign language programs on WUNR. He also was the announcer and producer for a one-hour Sunday night show on WUNR called "The Sports Huddle." When the show moved to WBZ, Ned went with them. During his time at 'BZ, he produced talk shows, was the music and production director, morning news editor and assistant program manager. And, there are still people in Boston who remember "Network Ned in the 'BZ Copter" from his stints as the traffic reporter. He was promoted to program manager at Group W's WOWO in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and moved on to Los Angeles as executive editor of all-news KFWB. Eventually he was promoted to general manager of the Group W cable TV system in Ontario, Calif.

In 1983, Ned came to Phoenix from Los Angeles to be near his young children, Suzy and Nick. He took a part-time, on-air news position with KOY, which was owned at the time by Edens Broadcasting. He was quickly offered the position of news director and began delivering the news on Bill Heywood's popular morning program. In 1988, he followed Heywood to mornings at KTAR and has been there for more than 20 years. Today, he co-hosts KTAR's morning show on 92.3 FM, now owned and operated by Bonneville International, with Connie Weber.

Bio: Connie Weber

Connie grew up outside of Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Kansas State University, working in radio in Kansas and Oklahoma. In 1996, she moved to Arizona and KTAR, where she anchored news in the afternoon.

They love to travel to their favorite spots in Arizona, like Flagstaff and Sedona and are usually up for a couple of California beach trips a year.
