The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has identified their suspect in the investigation on an Internet blogger who threatened the life of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

They originally tracked a blogger who posted vicious stories right after MCSO Deputy William Coleman was shot and killed.

"One specific website talked about the fact that they needed to increase the number od police officer deaths in the United States and one of them should be Sheriff Joe Arpaio," said MCSO Deputy Chief David Trombi.

MCSO searched a house and found evidence that they believe is significant enough to charge the person they arrest with communicating a threat via the Internet.

The warrant was served by MCSO in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Trombi said every threat against the sheriff is taken seriously.
