Valley weekend freeway closures Jan. 27-30

Drivers in the west Valley and near Phoenix Sky Harbor should allow some extra travel time this weekend, as there will be construction in those two areas.

• Eastbound Interstate 10 will be down to two lanes between Dysart Road and 91st Avenue from 11:00 p.m. Friday to 2:00 p.m. Saturday for overhead sign replacement.

• Eastbound I-10 will be down to two lanes between 91st and 67th Avenue from 11:00 p.m. Saturday to 2:00 p.m. Sunday for overhead sign replacement.

• I-10 ramps to north- and southbound State Route 143/48th Street will be closed from 10:00 p.m. Friday to 6:00 a.m. Saturday for gas utility work.

• University Drive will be down to one lane in each direction at SR143 from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday for asphalt repair. There will be no access to eastbound University Drive from SR143 during this time.
